Frequently Asked Questions

Why use a storage site?

Moving your caravan or motorhome from your driveway can be an indication that your property maybe empty, and lead to the unwelcome attention of opportunist thieves. Storage sites such as ours are recognised by Insurance Companies as offering the best level of caravan storage facility security, and this may be reflected in reduced insurance premiums for your caravan or motorhome.

What happens if I arrive back at the site when the access barriers have closed down?

Access is always possible 24/7 using your access keyfob through the main entrance gate out of our opening hours, to allow you to temporarily park your caravan / motorhome in one of the emergency pitches, and move it into your normal pitch the following day.

How much does it cost?

For a Caravan from £610.50/year, £162.00/quarter or £58.80/monthly annual contract, for a Motorhome it's £926.40/year, £246.00/quarter or £85.20/monthly annual contract. Full price details are here.

What time do the barriers open?

Silver & all Bronze Service pitches are available from 07.00, but are closed during the winter shut down period from just after Bonfire Night celebrations and re-open on the Monday prior to Easter.   Gold Service pitches are available from 7.00 a.m. all year round. Platinum Service pitches are available 24 / 7.

What time do the barriers close?

Times vary throughout the year – a list of dates and times are on the website, they are also displayed at the keyfob access readers.       The site is closed to all customers over the Christmas period.

What do I do if my space is occupied when I return to the site?

Whatever you do, please do not park in any other empty space – it will belong to another customer and we then have the knock-on effect of a number of customers in the wrong place. Phone the duty warden on 07754 178565 or use the Freephone in the reception office foyer. He may advise you to place your caravan / motorhome in one of the emergency pitches overnight, and let you know when you space is free, or offer some alternative course of action.

Can I store a Camper Van?

Yes, the prices and service levels for a single axle Motorhome apply to Camper Vans too.

Can I leave a car on my pitch?

Only on hardstanding pitches.

Can I have the caravan serviced on site?

Yes – but please let the office know, or be there to let the service engineer into the compound.

Is there electricity available?

Yes a mains (240v) 10 amp connection is available on the wall of the Reception Office

What happens if I need assistance while on-site?

Staff are available Monday / Friday to 4.30 p.m.  Out of hours, the duty warden can also be reached on 07754 178565 or via a Freephone in the reception office.

Can I bring my dog onto the site?

All pets must remain in your vehicle at all times - sorry no exceptions.

Can I sleep on the site?

No – Planning Permission forbids it.

Can I put a cover on caravan or motorhome?

Yes.

What happens if I change my caravan, trailer or motorhome?

As long as the Site Warden feels it fits onto the pitch, and has not changed from single to twin axle – no problem.  If you are considering or have purchased a new vehicle, please ensure that you inform the warden, and we will endeavour to accommodate your new vehicle where availability permits.

What happens if I change my car, home address, phone number etc?

Please let us know by accessing our secure online system here so that we know your up to date details and we can contact you if that should be necessary.

Can I washdown on the pitch?

Yes, on the hardstanding pitches, but bucket & sponge only on grass pitches. We do prefer clients to use the washdown area.

What happens if I want to change my pitch?

We will endeavour to accommodate your request subject to availability and a small administration fee of £25.00.

What happens when I leave?

If you are leaving the site please contact the office prior to the end of a quarter or month and return the keyfob by that date to qualify for the keyfob deposit refund, and if applicable any part annual refund. If the office is not manned, please put only the keyfob and nothing else in the plastic bag and post in the red letterbox on the Reception Office wall, or if it is a weekend with the main barrier shut, put it in the black mailbox outside the barrier and let us know on 07754 178565 so that we can collect it - do not trust it to Royal Mail please, unless it is in a padded "Jiffy Bag" or similar, and 'Signed For'.
